Vaquera - Women's Collection Spring/Summer 2019 in New York (with interviews)

Designers: Patric DiCaprio, Bryn Taubensee & Claire SullyInspiration: In a public school, South East of Manhattan, in China Town, the public sat on small school chairs. For this Show, Vaquera, the fashion collective from New York composed of three designers, chose a school theme, evoking the idea of sitting an exam in every show.Collection: a casting made of friends, a popular show, with slightly provocative clothing in an XXL size. The new collection from this trio is full of fantasy and humor. Everything is transformed, whilst still being relevant, up until the end of the show, closed with a graduation gown. We see signature pieces including a white shirt or a t-shirt with added logos.Note: His first line of jeans + the bustier “Pom Pom Girl” dress or dresses made from a white t-shirt finished with bands of colour.Interviews :We were talking about hope and fear and we go through continually feeling hope and fear as you do in high school as you do in real life and this, high school motif was kind of like a summary for real life and all the emotions and all the cliques and all the groups and all of that.We offer basically three tiers of garments, we have like our really wearable pieces like the t-shirts and the jeans, like we have a perfectly fitted jean this season. We have the crazy graduation look and then we also have things in between that we call like our like statement essentials basically wear.I think it’s important for us to condense the seasons, you know we’re looking at bridal we’re looking couture, we’re looking at menswear, we’re looking at womenswear, we’re looking at historical costumes, you know, so it’s like condensed into one you know, and that’s really strong.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
