‘we are what we eat.’ kean etro accentuates the pleasure of eating well, between culinary specialties and biodiversity, to form this season’s range of prints. colours and humor are therefore part of the summer vocabulary of this label. spaghetti, crustaceans, fruits and vegetables make up the summer fashion recipe, (an artistic reference to the arcimboldo painting?) and come together in all of the essential items of menswear. but before this frugal banquet, the collection is showcasing a sartorial spirit using dazzling colours. electric rose, buttercup yellow, celadon green and turquoise blue all clash together to please the eye! the collection offers two silhouettes, one which is more sportswear with elastic waist shorts or trousers and a hooded sweatshirt, and the more chic and classic profile in suits and jackets with gold buttons. interview:kean etro:when you’re sitting at the table, you start and you end with your belly full. we love cooking like the french and the collection starts with double breasted jackets made out of banana, made out of of hemp, it’s really to wear what you eat. like in the morning you have milk and cereal, you can have the jacket woven with milk and cereal. apart from playing games on this i’m very much committed to biodiversity.the answer is quite simple- let’s go back to biodiversity in italy, in france, in africa. that’s why, together with carlo petrini, the founder of slow-food, we’re telling everyone to join in and get a veggie -garden in africa, in nigeria and just give back to them what, not me, but previous generations took from africa. there’s a lot of pink and yellow and there are all these tablecloths of food that have been printed so the last part is very much leisure and tracksuits, and also the last thing you will see is also my favourite plate spaghetti alle vongole. music from the show
