The diary for the upcoming 4 fashion weeks : New York – London – Milan – Paris

September is synonymous with both the start of a new season of collections and with what is known as the Fashion month. The diary is saturated with four fashion weeks and plenty of events. Kicking off in New York, Francisco Costa celebrates 10 years at Calvin Klein and appears to be completely at home in this house. Carine Roitfeld also gives us a lot to talk about with the upcoming release of her film during New York fashion week - a documentary about her life after Vogue Paris, directed by Fabien Constant. Lastly, here are two labels whose shows must not be missed: Opening Ceremony by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim and MM6, the second line from Maison Martin Margiela who has known success on both sides of the Atlantic.
In London, meet Tom Ford. The designer who chose for long time a more intimate setting for his collections, now prefers a big show which is a must-see during fashion week. With the departure of Emma Hill, Mulberry has not yet announced who will succeed her as the fashion house’s artistic director. This show will be a total surprise. What is certain: the young talented designers will be present in London, alongside Simone Rocha and J.W. Anderson. Finally, it-girl Alexa Chung will undoubtedly will appear at all the shows, especially since bringing out a book on her own style, simply titled ‘It’.
As for Milan, no one can wait to see the Trussardi first women collection by Gaia Trussardi, the founder’s granddaughter, who has already successfully launched the male line. Of course, the major Italian fashion houses will carry out the show as usual but one question still remains for Milan: when will we see any new Italian talent?
And finally to Paris, whose fashion week lasts only 8 days and of course will include the highly anticipated second collection by Alexander Wang for Balenciaga and about unmissable events, note the reopening of the musée Galliera with the exhibition on Azzedine Alaia, as well as a wonderful retrospective of Roger Vivier at the Palais de Tokyo.
