Belgian lingerie group Van de Velde, which was banking on modest growth in 2018, has revised its outlook down, and is now expecting sales to be stable at best, if not in decline over the course of the year.

After reporting a 5% increase in revenue in 2015, Belgian lingerie group Van de Velde made a statement on the 20% rise in current profit, announcing at the same time the departure of its CEO at the end of 2016.
The Belgian group specialised in lingerie, owner of the PrimaDonna, Marie Jo, Andres Sarda and Rigby & Peller brands, recorded a positive 2015 with a 5.4% growth. A strong dollar has also helped business in the USA.
After announcing 8.7% growth in sales, the lingerie group Van de Velde (PrimaDonna, Marie Jo, Andres Sarda) announced profits up 3%. Its results were penalized by the devaluation of US retail chain Intimacy.
