On Wednesday, the Florentine show opened its 100th edition, hosting nearly 400 exhibitors with a cheerful mood, veined with the attending menswear professionals’ excitement at finally getting together again.
Florence-based trade show Pitti Uomo will be one of the first to relaunch its physical show, from June 30 to July 2, albeit in a reduced format and with safety measures. It expects up to 8,000 buyers and over 300 brands.
Following a decision by the Italian government, trade shows Pitti Uomo, Pitti Bimbo and Pitti Filati will take place exclusively online on the Pitti Connect platform which will remain online until the start of April.
Italy's benchmark textiles show, which had been one of the rare trade events to be staged physically in September, has announced that its February edition, showcasing the Spring/Summer 2022 collections, will go digital.
Originally scheduled in January, Pitti Uomo’s winter edition will be held on February 21-23 together with the Pitti Bimbo and Pitti Filati shows (dedicated to childrenswear and yarns), all of them in physical format.
Pitti Immagine has unveiled the website hosting all its trade shows until the end of October, featuring exhibitors’ collections and plenty of content and events, like ‘Sustainable Style’, headlined by Y/Project.
At the end of June, ahead of the new digital fashion weeks, Pitti Immagine will launch Pitti Connect, an online platform and marketplace reserved to the exhibitors of its physical shows, now postponed to September.
After the serial cancellations of the June men's Fashion Weeks, the benchmark menswear show has announced the postponement of its next summer edition, which is now scheduled to be held in Florence on September 2-4.
