A UK court issued an arrest warrant for Nirav Modi and the fugitive jewellery tycoon is expected to be arrested soon. A Central Bureau of Investigation team will fly to the UK within a week to attend the court hearing.
On March 10, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera claimed that fugitive jewellery tycoon Mehul Choksi has applied to register a business in the UK and asked what government efforts are bring made to extradite him.
Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice against jeweller Mehul Choksi in response to the Central Bureau of Investigation’s continued requests. Choksi is wanted in connection to the Punjab National Bank fraud case.
