Pandemic or not, the ultimate expression of luxury in fashion, the Paris haute couture season, will debut digitally Monday with almost 30 houses vying for the attention of the world’s most expensively dressed women.
AZ Factory, the fashion house led by Alber Elbaz that is the most widely anticipated new brand in the industry, is planning a talk show as well as exclusives on Net-A-Porter and Farfetch as part of its launch next week.
Few groups have excited as much attention in luxury in the past few years as Fosun, a giant Chinese conglomerate that has gradually built up a significant position as a player in fashion and elegance in Europe.
Tod’s said that preliminary sales figures showed that group revenue fell 2.6% in 2019 to €916.1 million, pushed down by weaker business in Italy and the rest of Europe. A year earlier, Tod’s revenues fell 3% globally.
