On June 1, Zoya put on a party intended to bring together women at night, the only time when many have free time, according to the brand. The author and chef, Maria Goretti and LoveFools chef Sarita Pereira curated the night’s menu and detail and an eye for design was celebrated in both the food and the jewellery.

The brand’s latest collections including “Egypt” and “Inheritance” were on display in the store and guests tried on pieces whilst sipping their champagne and snacking on aperitifs. Following that, guests sat down for a six course savoury dinner.

“I am happy to be at Zoya because I believe that craft of any kind—jewellery, food, music, painting—is inspired by passion, and Zoya and I have that in common,” Goretti told Vogue India. “This passion is what sparks creativity and creates distinction. Zoya’s stunning designs and meticulous attention to design is what creates this rare jewellery. Similar care goes into my food. I am happy to be part of something so unique and share it with my friends here today.”

The collaboration between the jewellery brand and the chefs was a first for Zoya but marks an emerging trend of curating fashion and food events in India. Recently, the designers Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra curated the “Journey of Couture to Cuisine” and pop-up shopping events increasingly include speciality food items.

Zoya is a brand of the House of Tata of Titan Company Limited and was launched in 2013. The brand specialises in diamond jewellery and has flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai.
