Zadig & Voltaire’s Paris catwalk comeback to mark new fragrance launch
It is time for Zadig & Voltaire to return to the Parisian catwalks. After showing in New York for three seasons, the premium French label has found the right occasion for its Paris comeback: according to FashionNetwork.com sources, Zadig & Voltaire will stage a show on September 29, during the next Paris Fashion Week, marking the launch of its new fragrance in style.
Zadig & Voltaire’s Paris come-back show will be held on the fashion week’s Saturday evening, at the Jussieu campus of the French capital’s Pierre and Marie Curie University. For the time being, the event is not featured on the week's official calendar. Zadig & Voltaire’s first-ever Paris catwalk show, in 2013, and others since then, had instead been part of the fashion week’s calendar.
The label is very satisfied with the impact of its US shows, including the New York debut to fête its twentieth anniversary, and Zadig & Voltaire’s return to Paris is chiefly linked to the launch of ‘Girls Can Do Anything’, the label’s new fragrance, created and promoted with the help of Shiseido and its Beauté Prestige International subsidiary.
Together with its beauty partner, Zadig & Voltaire will also host a gala evening after the show, an event which will resonate both with the media and the general public. The label’s new scent, which will debut alongside the Spring/Summer 2019 collection designed by Creative Director Cecilia Bönström, was created by fragrance designer Quentin Bisch. A hymn to strong, free, bold women, the new fragrance has a quirky rock ‘n’ roll vibe thanks to its bottle, looking like a small water flask.
It is a very busy autumn for Zadig & Voltaire: the label recently opened its fifteenth Parisian store at 10 rue de Grenelle, and a few months ago it enlisted the services of the Rotschild bank, with a view to finding a new shareholder to bolster its expansion plans.
