Vestiaire Collective to open Madrid pop-up with authentication lab
Vestiaire Collective is experimenting with new formats in Spain, betting on a pop-up that will be its first in the Spanish capital. For four days, Palacio Santa Barbara, a historic building from the 19th century, will be home to an installation combining a sales space, an ongoing authentication workshop and an exhibition devoted to iconic fashion garments.
The Maison de Vestiaire Collective will be open between March 22nd and 25th inclusive. One of the key activities will be the workshop with Victoire Boyer, who will share essential tips on identifying whether an item is genuine or not according to the quality indicators of each label.
While the space is open, Vestiaire Collective will conduct a free workshop program in which industry professionals will share their experience in the industry with attendees. Among the highlights are sustainable fashion, luxury and decoration.
The Santa Bárbara Palace is located at number 87 Hortaleza Street, in the heart of the capital. The Maison de Vestiaire Collective can be visited from 2pm to 7pm on Wednesday, from 10am to 7pm Thursday and Friday, and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
The portal dedicated to selling second-hand luxury garments has more than four million members, who present their products for sale through the website. The average purchase cost is around 325 euros, and 75% of customers return to make further purchases.
