Vestiaire Collective launches 'Wanted', a new product search tool
The portal dedicated to second-hand luxury fashion has deployed a new tool that will allow members to submit picture of items they've seen and the 4 million-users community will help unearth them.
"All of us have an item in mind we could have treated ourselves to but which we missed out on," the site explains. "An item that's currently impossible to find, yet one we can’t wait for the chance to get hold of."
In early September, the portal announced it had raised €33 million, bringing the value of funds raised in four years to over €60 million. The funds are currently earmarked for the completion of the portal's European expansion, its deployment in the US, the brand's redesign, and the first TV advertising campaigns.
Vestiaire Collective boasts 4 million members and some 100,000 new registrations every month. The portal is distinctive for the selection of items put up for sale by its members, with an acceptance rate of 80%, and its monitoring of item quality. It's a formula that works: the average order basket is €325, and 75% of clients come back for more orders.
