Vera Wang is skipping New York Fashion Week next season and will be debuting her Autumn/Winter 2017 collection via film instead.

The designer is opting out of putting on a traditional catwalk show, preferring to unveil her collection online on February 28, WWD reports.

One potential reason for the change of strategy could be the fact that Wang is set to be awarded the French National Order of the Legion of Honour on the same date, which also happens to be the opening day of Paris Fashion Week.
