Topshop chooses Cara Delevingne for campaign
After Kate Moss, it makes sense that Topshop turn to someone who has, at times, been considered her heir. The British retailer has just unveiled its new autumn-winter 2014/15 campaign, starring top model Cara Delevingne.
The famous British model had already walked the catwalk for Topshop, but this is the first time that she been its face. It’s also the first time that the brand has chosen a single model to star in its primary campaign. Delevingne was photographed by Alasdair McLellan in London, and is also the subject of a viral video that focuses on the kind of antics that have helped to make her famous.
Besides the choice of Delevingne, Topshop has also announced future store openings. The retailer, owned by Arcadia Group, intends to continue to expand abroad with new openings planned for Hong Kong, Amsterdam and particularly for the United States. Five new branches have been announced, including a new flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York, which will be the second largest Topshop store in the world, after Oxford Circus, London.
