Topshop calls off entry into Germany
Jan 7, 2016
The British high-street retailer, which was set to open its first German standalone store in Cologne this spring, has suddenly called off the plans. Among others, the decision was allegedly taken after negotiations with the owner of the 1,200 sq mt property on the Schildergasse Street did not end in agreement.

The London-based clothing brand is available in Germany through its own online website, as well as through Zalando’s e-commerce platform. Fans of the label can also find Topshop products in the department stores Karstadt in Hamburg and Düsseldorf and Oberpollinger in Munich.
Topshop announced plans to open a flagship store in Germany in August 2015, after opening its first store on continental Europe in Amsterdam.
The label is not planning other German stores, FashionMag was informed.
