The product will be available early this year and will let users receive notifications of calls, text messages and social network activity. It will also be able to send automated responses to text messages, set up alerts and meetings and control the music and camera on a connected phone.

It will also double as a fitness and sleep pattern tracker and allow hand movement position detection that can be used, for instance, to control a computer mouse or a drone.

“With the ‘Gesture Band’, Fastrack offers a combination of design with a host of smart features, including advanced gesture control, fitness tracking and notifications, among others. This smart band will add to Fastrack’s varied range and cement its presence in the industry, catering to the youth and their needs,” said S. Ravi Kant, chief executive officer, watches and accessories, Titan in a Mint report.

Titan entered the wearable technology space with its Juxt and Juxt Pro ranges of watches last year, making Gesture Band its third smart wearable product.
