Angelo Baque, Brand Director of Supreme, announced this week his departure from the streetwear brand after 10 years.

The School of Visual Arts graduate worked at Stussy and defunct cult favorite Nom de Guerre before joining Supreme in 2006. Baque also operates fashion label Awake NY, which launched in 2012, and creative agency Baque Creative. Despite his departure from Supreme, Baque will remain with the brand in a consulting role.

Prior to this announcement, Louis Vuitton unveiled a new collaboration with Supreme at the men’s fall 2017 runway show in January. The partnership sent the fashion press into frenzy since the collaboration was only rumored and not believed to be real. The French fashion house joins a number of designers and brands to partner with Supreme including Comme des Garçons, Timberland, Stone Island, Aquascutum, and The North Face among others.

In 2015, former Supreme Creative Director Brendon Babenzien left the brand to focus on his Noah fashion label, and Proper Gang designer Max Vanderwoude Gross quietly replaced him.
