Stella McCartney had a good 2014. The British designer's company saw sales increase by 11.2% to £31.6m in the year to December 31.

The first full year of sales from the Bicester Village outlet contributed to the result. The company's operating profit also increased significantly in the year, up by 20.7% to £6m. Gross profit rose to £27.3m from £25.6m.
Stella McCartney, which currently has 30 stores worldwide in cities including Madrid, Beijing and Palo Alto, said retail expansion continues to be its long term strategy for growth. It said the focus remains on its women's offering and maintaining an attractive accessories offering, but that the kids business also continues to grow dramatically.
After the success of its adidas partnership on the Great Britain kits for the 2012 Olympics, McCartney has now renewed the partnership for the Olympics in Rio in 2016.
