Saachi Bahl launches 'Conscious Effort' festival at new Saahra store

Saahra, the new multi-brand sustainable fashion boutique curated by the designer Saachi Bahl, will host a two day fashion festival called "Conscious Effort" on July 14 and 15 in New Delhi.

This weekend, Saachi Bahl will host Conscious Effort, a two day sustainable fashion shopping event, at her new boutique Saahra. The event, which is open to the public from 10am to 7pm both days, has partnered with L’Opéra as its hospitality partner.

The event will host a large number of sustainable fashion brands including Anavila Misra, Akaaro, Buna, Doodlage, Dot, Jodi, Kanabis, Love Birds, The Good Loom, and Urban Dhani. As well as fashion, beauty products will also feature with Ruby’s Organics.

Bahl told Vogue India about the brand mix she has curated for the store and said, “[I] aspire to break the stereotype that sustainable and eco-friendly clothing is not stylish. That’s why we curate labels and products based on their design language. All products embody the characteristics of being modern, minimal, functional and stylish.”

Bahl describes her boutique as India’s first sustainable, fair trade, and animal cruelty free boutique. The boutique is Bahl’s second business endeavour alongside her eponymous sustainable fashion label that she launched in 2015.

Bahl set up her clothing label and boutique to promote sustainable fashion in India after feeling that there was a gap in the market for sustainable yet fashion forward garments.
