The Paris bound designer’s collection had a poetic confluence of yarn, colours, textile, ornamentally hand worked motifs that draws from the vast reservoir of ancient science and architecture.

Mishra had no showstopper for the show but turned heads as he brought his wife and two-year-old daughter on the ramp to close the show.

Talking about his Parizaad collection, Mishra said “"The collection is called 'Parizaad,' which means born of the divine. Shades of Persian, Roman, Byzantine architecture from centuries ago made its inroads into my thought process when I thought of this line."

"Studying the highly intricate use of geometric patterns, girikh, or haft rangi etcto create uninterrupted patterns of tiles of flowers, and a mosaic of nature emphasizing great design aesthetics from a time when human skills were divine and to create a modern language with Indian textiles and embroidery with a Zen like thinking and philosophy has led me to this new narrative," he added.

Rahul Mishra’s next stop will be at the Paris Fashion Week where he made his debut at 2015. He has a show at Paris on September 30 which is coincidentally her daughter’s birthday and intends to take her along who he believes has brought him a lot of good luck and mental prosperity.

Rahul Mishra is an International Woolmark PrizeWinner and amongst the most exciting rising stars in global fashion. He recently opened the brand’s flagship store in New Delhi in July.
