Pringle of Scotland launches innovative bespoke range online

This year, Pringle of Scotland is celebrating its 200th anniversary, and to celebrate this it has created a special project to showcase its famous sweaters. 'Deconstructed' is a website for customers who wish to create their own custiomised Pringle sweaters.

The platform is heralded by the brand as "the first interactive experience in bespoke knitwear", and allows customers to choose from a selection of colours and models, a range of the brand's iconic models: cashmere sweaters for women and men, including women's twin sets.

It's then up to the customer to select all the elements, deciding on the colour arrangement: sleeves, neck, cuffs, plus of course the legendary diamonds, as well as the positioning of the Pringle logo and the customer's own initials.

The selection process is effortless and delivery is guaranteed in under six weeks, as confirmed in a press release by Massimo Nicosia, Style Director at Pringle of Scotland.

There is also the possibility of choosing from the models created by 20 celebrities, among them actress Tilda Swinton, footwear designer Manolo Blahnik, the founder of the 10 Corso Como concept store, Carla Sozzani, Caroline Issa, Chief Editor at Tank magazine, and Chinese multimedia artist Yi Zhou. They all put forward their own interpretation of a Pringle of Scotland sweater on the website.

Pringle Deconstructed can be accessed in English and Chinese both at the pringledeconstructed.com website and on the digital terminals located inside some of the brand's retailing partners' stores, such as Selfridges in the UK and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong and China.

Pringle of Scotland was created in 1815 and was acquired in 2000 by SC Fang & Sons, one of Hong Kong's largest knitwear manufacturers.
