At 64 years old Mr Blanckaert is showing no signs of retiring soon. He is planning to leave the luxury fashion house at the end of August after having worked there for 14 years, most recently holding the position of Director General of International Affairs.
“It is a young brand which is developing and has great potential, that is what interested me,” Christian Blanckaert told La Tribune.
Alongside Philippe Berlan, director general of Petit Bateau, Christian Blanckaert will be tasked with advancing the development strategy of the brand known for its underwear and nightwear.
