Paytm Mall to take on Flipkart’s BBD with cashback
Paytm Mall will directly take on Flipkart’s Big Billion Day (BBD) sale event by offering high cashback to customers and expects their sale to contribute around 15% to its overall sales.
Paytm is also expecting over 5 million new users during their four day sale event which starts on the same day as Flipkart’s BBD. Paytm has assured the customers shopping on its platform high cashbacks and earmarked Rs 501 crore (approx $79 million) on the sale event.
Paytm Mall will give a big push to its Online-to-Offline (O2O) model, as the sale orders will be serviced by the nearest brand-authorized store, large retail chain or small shopkeeper.
