NIFT ranked 19th among world's best fashion schools 2017, USA's Parsons tops list

The National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi has claimed a spot in the CEOWorld Magazine's list of best fashion schools in the world for 2017.

The Indian fashion school has been ranked 19th and it has achieved a score of 95.6. Parsons School of Design, US has grabbed the first position and Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp follows at no. 2.

The list comprising 110 fashion schools from around the world was formulated by CEOWorld Magazine based on six performance indicators. These include academic experience, placement rate, admission eligibility, specialisation, recruiter feedback and global reputation.

Data collected from over 20,000 recruiters, 32,000 industry professionals and more than 30,000 students was compiled to formulate the list.

The London College of Fashion, University of the Arts took the third position, while the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York ranked fourth on the list. Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London (5th); Kingston University, London (6th); School of Arts, Design and Architecture - Aalto University, Finland (7th); Polimoda, Florence (8th); Bunka Gakuen, Tokyo (9th); and Royal College of Art, London (10th) also featured in the list.
