Nappa Dori seeks international expansion

After recently opening a concept store in Delhi, the leatherwear brand Nappa Dori is looking to expand overseas and has collaborated with Chivas India.

Following the brand’s concept store opening in Delhi, which features clothing and a café, Brand Head Gautam Sinha said about their next steps: “I feel the next logical step for us would be to take this brand international and see how we are placed in the international market.” Although Sinha did not reveal which countries they are eyeing for the near future, he assured that plans were in the works.

Nappa Dori has also just partnered with Chivas India to launch a limited edition bottle pack for their signature whisky. The collaboration, which was announced on October 17, will see the Nappa Dori x Chivas packaging in stores for the holiday season. Sinha said about the collaboration: “The fact that they chose us to design a Limited Edition case, and moved away from the usual suspects ‘fashion designer’ and gave a product design brand like ours a chance, says a lot about how they view the changing landscape in India and how design is not just limited to fashion anymore.”

Sinha, who also revealed that the brand is looking to continue expanding its product categories, said: “We are always experimenting with new products and materials, so soon, we would be coming up with some amazing new home decor products which we are really excited about, along with a new category we call ‘Objects by Nappa Dori’.”
