Myntra to launch 15 new brands at second edition of ‘Beauty Edit’ festival

Online fashion retailer Myntra is back with the second edition of its ‘Beauty Edit’ festival and plans to launch 15 beauty brands on its portal during the two day event.

The e-commerce major had entered the beauty sector last year and coming up with new initiatives to expand its base in this booming market which is expected to touch $10 billion by 2021.
 
The second edition of the festival will see 15 new brand launches including MUD (Make-up Designory Cosmetics), the American professional beauty brand which is being launched for the first time in India, The Face shop, 3INA, Myglamm, , Aveeno, among others.

Myntra expects over a million customers to shop on its platform during the two day festival that will have over 7000 products on display from international and domestic brands across makeup, skincare, bath & body, perfumes and beauty appliances.
 
Bindu Mendonsa, SVP of Women’s, Men’s and Emerging Businesses, Myntra in a statement said, “With beauty and grooming being one of the biggest strategic focus areas for Myntra, we have built a product selection and experience to delight and excite customers. The Myntra Beauty Edit is a one-of-its-kind event which no one can afford to miss including the men”.
 
Myntra is looking to make massive inroads in the country’s fast-growing beauty and personal care segment and eyeing a $100-150-million business in the next two years. It is also helping the firm widen its customer base across the country.
