Misfit Panda enters bridal market with new line
The footwear brand Misfit Panda has launched a bridal and evening wear shoe collection as part of its autumn/ winter 2018 collection, “Amor Em Lisboa”.
Misfit Panda, a brand known for its extravagantly designed footwear, has entered the bridal market. The brand’s latest collection, “Amor Em Lisboa”, was inspired by the Baroque influence on Portuguese architecture and art and was designed to combine historical charm with a modern day feminist spirit for a contemporary bride. The collection also features several vegan options that use no animal products such as leather.
Bridal offerings from the brand include heels completely covered in silver glitter and heels decorated with Baroque style filigree using 3D applique techniques. Wedges, heels, pumps, and boots for an unconventional bride will all be released with the brand’s autumn/winter collection.
The brand showcased its latest collection at Booth 27 at the recent Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai. At the fashion week, Misfit Panda also partnered with the clothing designer Kartikeya to provide the footwear for the brand’s runway show. The celebrity Malavika Mohanan closed the show in a pair of opulent Misfit Panda heels paired with a brightly coloured Kartikeya statement dress.
Misfit Panda was launched in January 2017 and retails online through multi-brand e-commerce platforms including Koovs, Ajio, and Trends. The brand’s tagline is “Be you. Be true. Be misfit”.
