Menlook pushes international growth
Nov 4, 2012
Last May, French company Meninvest explained a second round of funding totaling 5.6 million euros as an effort to internationalize its menswear e-commerce site, Menlook, up and running in Great Britain since last year. The company had said it would move into Spain and Italy the second half of this year and Germany and Scandinavia next year. According to Meninvest founder Marc Ménasé, 40% to 50% of the English-languge site's orders are coming in from customers living outside the UK.
Essentially, Marc Ménasé has decided to speed things up. Menlook is getting ready to launch sites in Spanish, Italian, German and Dutch in early December. The Meninvest founder also intends to prime the launch of Menlook Asia next year on its own dedicated platform. Moreover, the company is most likely getting ready for "export" from Europe.
Menlook now claims to have one million visits per month, with a 300% growth in sales for 2012 compared to 2011, meaning the company will have earned at least 15 million euros in sales this year. Menlook boasts 70,000 fans on social networks. In addition to its own brands, the site now features 250 other brands offering approximately 10,000 items.
