Manolo Blahnik expands into accessories with new bag collection

Manolo Blahnik, the footwear designer known for his sexy, elegant shoes, is expanding into the accessories market.

Blahnik has launched a new capsule collection that features six clutch bags made from satins and crepe de chine and with leather interiors. The bags also feature Swarovski crystals, and are decorated with magnified versions of the buckles seen on Blahnik's shoes.

Blahnik commented: "Every woman needs a jewel. Something very special and beautiful. There is nothing more stunning than a feminine hand holding a gem-like object."

The clutches will retail from £1,320.
