Manish Malhotra to show collection at Mijwan Fashion Show

After recently showing his latest collection in Singapore, Manish Malhotra will put on a runway show for the ninth year edition of the Mijwan Fashion Show that will feature Bollywood celebrities on the ramp.

The Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor who appear together onscreen will be Malhotra’s special guests at his upcoming fashion show on April 9. Both actors have previously modelled for Malhotra, who refers to them as his “muses” on social media.

The Mijwan Welfare Society, which Malhotra has a long standing relationship with, will be hosting the Mijwan Fashion Show for the ninth year in a row and the NGO, which works for female empowerment, has also featured Malhotra before. Malhotra’s previous showstoppers at the event include the celebrities Anushka Sharma, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Shweta Nanda Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Abhishek Bachchan among others.

Malhotra recently took his Manish Malhotra Label to Singapore where he showed a collection that featured a variety of eveningwear for both men and women. The collection had a strong focus on fusion wear for the international audience and floral motifs were presented throughout. Malhotra’s show this coming Monday promises to have a similar romantic colour palate but will feature more traditional wear to suit the Indian audience.
