Manish Arora's "Cosmic Love" collection features Ranveer Singh at LFW

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh walked for Manish Arora for his multi-coloured and print heavy Lakmé Fashion Week collection.

Manish Arora’s show took place on Saturday August 19, day four of LFW. The show was held offsite at 9:30PM and was the last show of the day. Etihad Airways presented the event and sponsored the collection. As with the trend of having a celebrity guest close the runway show, Arora chose the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh who is known for his bold fashion choices and so fitted Arora’s psychedelic vision well.

Arora had shown his collections at Paris Fashion Week for the last ten years and been away from LFW for the past six but this season he returned to Mumbai to showcase his autumn/ winter collection. Arora’s collection entitles “Cosmic Love” featured a host of bright and cheerful designs worn by models who descended from escalators and on to the runway. Main colours included dark blue and orange, while galaxy-inspired prints showed the cosmic inspiration for the collection.

Both menswear and womenswear featured in Arora’s collection and the looks were androgynous with floaty shapes and ethereal colour combinations. Arora recently won the Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur in France, and showing the collection in Mumbai is one way Arora is celebrating completing a decade of showing his designs in Paris.
