Fragment Design x Louis Vuitton first collaborated in July of this year. At the launch, over 4000 people were lined up outside the collaboration’s Tokyo pop-up shop. The previous collection included leather bags, iPhone cases, luggage, and footwear.

Fragment Design is a streetwear label designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara. The streetwear legend mentored current streetwear designers Nigo, the mind behind A Bathing Ape and Billionaire Boys Club, and Jun Takahashi, the designer behind Undercover. In the past, Fragment Design has collaborated with Nike, Apple, Off-White, and Starbucks.

Louis Vuitton has tapped many smaller design houses and artists to reinterpret their monogrammed bags. Last year, Louis Vuitton ended its thirteen years of collaboration with visual artist Takashi Murakami. Murakami was the mind behind the multicolor monogram collections that flew off shelves in the early 2000’s.

In 2013, Jake & Dinos Chapman collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a series of luggage pieces. Kim Jones, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director, unveiled a collection with Nike Lab earlier this year, separate from the Louis Vuitton house.

Jones, who is spearheading this project, released an image of a bag from the upcoming collection on Instagram Wednesday morning. There is no news yet as to when the collection will be unveiled.
