LFW model hunt gives break to fresh faces, four Indians bag international contract
Lakme Fashion Week (LFW), which has given India some iconic names from the fashion and Bollywood industry like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, and Yana Gupta, will be soon giving a break to four young models. Nicole Padival, Daman Brar, Kiyara and Roshmitha Harimurthy will all be walking the runway with industry stalwarts at the upcoming season of LFW, after winning the LFW winter/festive 2017 model auditions
The jury members comprised of Bollywood Actress Kriti Sanon, Fashion Designer Manish Malhotra, Fashion Choreographer Lubna Adams, Head of Fashion, IMG Reliance Jaspreet Chandok, Head of Innovation, Lakmé Purnima Lamba and IMG International model scouts Luis Domingo and Victoria Da Silva.
Kriti Sanon felt nostalgic to be back at LFW as she had started her career at the very same platform. “It is nostalgic to be back at Lakmé Fashion Week where I started my modelling career and walked for around five seasons”, she said in statement.
India’s leading fashion designer Manish Malhotra explained how models give his clients a glimpse of his creations
“Models lend personification to an attitude that each of my collections represent. From demure and confident to playful and elegant, a great model emotes and brings an outfit to life, giving my clients a glimpse of the 'Manish Malhotra woman’," said Malhotra
The winners also bagged a contract with IMG Models, international leader in talent discovery and model management.
