Lane Bryant launches Prabal Gurung collaboration and #ThisBody campaign

Lane Bryant on Monday launched its much anticipated collaboration collection with Prabal Gurung. The collection was first announced in July 2016.

 
The Prabal Gurung x Lane Bryant collection consists of color block dresses, cut-and-sew sweaters, wide leg trousers and jumpsuits, and outerwear such as trench coats and leather jackets. The 20-piece collection retains the New York City-based designer’s aesthetic, featuring details such as cut out shoulders, center stitching on the leather jacket, and open weaves on a knit sweater.
 
Prabal Gurung is the fifth designer to partner with Lane Bryant, joining Christian Siriano, Lela Rose, Sophia Theallet and Isabel Toledo. In 2016, the 2011 CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear winner launched a collaboration with Toms to increase awareness and support for his native Nepal, and an exclusive Pokémon-inspired capsule collection at Jeffrey New York.

In addition to the collection launch, Lane Bryant unveiled its #ThisBody campaign for spring 2017. The #ThisBody campaign is inspired by body-inclusivity and empowerment, and it features recording artist Lizzo, artist and poet Ashlee Haze, and members of the dance company, Pretty Big Movement who share how they were inspired to become the women they are today.

 
The Prabal Gurung x Lane Bryant collection is available now at Lane Bryant stores and online, and the #ThisBody campaign will roll out across Lane Bryant’s stores and social media channels, and on billboards, magazines, partnerships with Refinery 29 and Glamour, as well as a strong digital presence.
