Paris, 14th June 2010 (AFP)
In the same way Longchamp produced the ‘Kate Moss’ bag and Hermès the ‘Birkin’, Paris fashion house Lancel launches on Tuesday the ‘B.B bag’. In collaboration with icon Brigitte Bardot, the bag reflects “the profile, fashion and lifestyle” of the actress.

The French leather goods brand for which “the handbag is the key to female seduction” has already created a collection with French actress Isabelle Adjani.

The brand founded in 1876 confirms that the B.B bag allows “every woman to have a bit of Bardot in them”, whether in tweed or the luxury fabric, alcantara.

At a cost of 680 Euros for the completely organic tweed version and 880 Euros for the alcantara, the ‘Bardot’ is produced without using leather, neither using a chemical colouration or a tanning process, since its endorser is an ardent activist in animal protection.

This bag “which respects nature and animals” and is available in blue, pink, apricot, grey, ivory or mocha, targets an eclectic female clientele.

Lancel’s 1000 Euro mock-crocodile leather ‘Adjani’ shopping bag is successful and still today bears a waiting list.
