La Perla goes on afterburner. The Italian lingerie brand, acquired in 2012 by the Pacific Global Management holding company led by Silvio Scaglia, goes forward with its relaunch plan by opening new stores the world over.

In four months, no less than 10 retail outlets were inaugurated, from the flagship store on Cheongdam Road in Seoul, to the Passeig de Gràcia store in Barcelona, from the US stores in Houston, Miami Bal Harbour and Chicago to the new shops in Beijing and Sanya in China.

Without forgetting the renovation of the New York flagship store on Madison Avenue or the retail outlet in Reggello, Tuscany, while in October a 600m2 flagship store will open on Hong Kong's chic Russel Street.

In Seoul the façade is remarkable for its six arches and the blue sodalite marble panelling. The interiors are split up in octagonal areas dedicated to the women's and men's collections, while fitting rooms are bordered by shiny steel wire remindful of tulle fabric, the label has stated in a press release.

These new stores all share a unique image which communicates the feel of a brand which has been repositioned in the very high-end segment. The network of mono-brand stores represents one of the chief vectors in the group's strategy, as they account for nearly 80% of the brand's total revenues. La Perla numbers nearly 250 branded stores worldwide, and plans to reach a total of 300.
