L'Oréal names Lucia Dumas EVP, Communication and Public Affairs

L’Oréal announced on Tuesday the appointment of Lucia Dumas as Executive Vice President of Communication and Public Affairs.
 

Dumas, who will join the beauty company’s Executive Committee at the beginning of January 2018, succeeds Isabel Marey-Semper - L'Oréal



Prior to joining L’Oréal, Dumas served as VP of Communication at Essilor. While at Essilor, she designed and deployed a brand identity for the company and helped increase its visibility globally. After beginning her career at Moulinex Group,  Dumas also worked at the Rhodia Group for five years.
 
Dumas, who will join the beauty company’s Executive Committee at the beginning of January 2018, succeeds Isabel Marey-Semper, who will pursue her professional career outside of L’Oréal after 8 years with the company.

Marey-Semper led L’Oréal’s Advanced Research for five years, and in 2015 became a member of the Executive Committee in charge of Communication and Public Affairs while assuming the General Management of the L’Oréal Foundation and leading L’Oréal’s Simplicity project.
