L'Occitane surpasses one billion euros in sales

PARIS, France - Cosmetics group L’Occitane achieved a key milestone for its financial year 2012/2013, ended 31 March, with net sales surpassing the one billion euro mark. Net sales reached a total of 1.04 billion this year, up 14.2% on the previous year. Operating profit for the year increased by 3.9% to 158.3 million euros.

The company’s sales in Hong Kong, China, the United States and Russia were the driving factors of net sales growth. Over the past year, L’Occitane opened 145 new stores including 50 in Asia, 67 in Europe and 28 in the America, remaining on track with its global retail expansion strategy.
