Kas New York plans to launch in Europe

With silk combi-shorts, wide-leg trousers, printed tops, embroidered blouses and boho dresses, Kas New York’s womenswear collections are inspired by the world of travelling.

KAS New York, Autumn 2015 collection.

Launched in New York in 2007 by Kirat Anand, Kas New York features items with a contemporary style that's infused with an exotic feel.

Kas New York's collections (125 items on average) are conceived to be enjoyed both as daywear and on the beach. The concept is accessible luxury, with an average price of €100 but using premium fabrics like silk or muslin.

On the distribution side, the label is available in some 100 stores, 95% of which are in the US, but it's also present in Japan and the Middle East. KAS New York now plans to launch in Europe, notably in France, and is also looking for an agent for Spain, as well as wishing to expand its Middle-Eastern network.

Given these objectives, the brand decided to exhibit at the latest Who's Next trade show in Paris.

"The show allowed us to meet the maximum number of people in the minimum amount of time. We have forged promising links, which enabled us to understand whether our products are appreciated. This is important since, for example, when we first launched in the US we were distributed through department stores but, over time, the latter began to take fewer risks with their range selection and we became too original for them. This is a pity. We hope the attitude will be different in Europe," the brand's founder has stated.
