The fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) brand is taking steps to include more provisions for its Indian employees to “reinstate the importance of employees being able to champion work-life integration," according to the statement.

The new human resources policies include arrangements for sabbaticals and a “Nurturing Family Bonds Program” for expecting mothers that is designed to support mothers during pregnancy and after the birth. Fathers will also be supported as part of the programme. As the human resources developments centre on parenthood which also pertains to the brand’s beauty and wellness product portfolio, it appears that Johnson & Johnson has implemented business practices that also aid in marketing.

“Under the flexible working provisions, Johnson & Johnson employees can take up the option to work remotely once a week and/or choose flexible hours to meet their daily work and personal responsibilities,” said the company’s statement. Other aspects of the new human resources policy include support for employees looking to further their studies, to take part in community programmes, or for their health.
