Joe San opens its first store
The young premium brand from French group LBY (Serge Blanco) created two years ago is setting up its own shop in Paris. After having envisioned a location in the Saint-Germain des Prés district, it seized the opportunity to be neighbours with the very popular Kitsuné and Melinda Gloss at the Beaumarchais-Filles du Calvaire axis in the French capital's 11th arrondissement.
The label's first store will open on 22 January at 22 Boulevard des Filles-du-Calvaire. For Joe San, which presents itself as an international brand, this nearly 500 ft² store, surrounded by stores in its arena, should allow it to gain visibility among the French, but also among foreign customers.
The brand, which has some fifty points of sale in France, is indeed building ties internationally. Ferrell international, based in Singapore and a specialist in the distribution of luxury brands in Asia, will distribute the brand next season, while in Germany, an agent is starting to work on the fall/winter 2015-16 season.
Italy, where the brand was present 13-16 January for the Pitti Uomo of Florence trade fair, and the Middle East are the other two markets the brand is currently aiming at.
