Jo Malone launches in India
The British luxury fragrance brand Jo Malone has launched in India and products are now available to buy at a number of online retail stores.
The media launch for Jo Malone in India was conducted at an event in Jaipur curated by the Magnanimous Group. Forty media representatives and bloggers were invited to a 48 hour long event at the Amanbagh Resort where the brand’s 200 scents were presented in India for the first time.
Jo Malone products are now available on online retail platforms including U Buy, Snapdeal, and Amazon India, where products are sold by the brand itself, as opposed to a secondary retailer. During the recent Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) conference in New Delhi, Yogeshwar Sharma, the Executive Director of New Delhi’s six acre retail development Select Citywalk, mentioned that the shopping centre was currently in talks with Jo Malone concerning the possibility of opening a store within the mall.
Jo Malone Limited was founded by its namesake in 1993 and, following its sale in 1999, is now owned by Estée Lauder. The brand specialises in luxury perfumes, scented candles, room scents, and bath products. The brand has flagship boutiques in around 50 countries and is also currently heavily expanding in China.
