Vineet Gautam, the Country Manager and CEO for Bestseller India (Jack & Jones’ parent company), recently stated that Jack & Jones is seeking to increase their presence in Tier 2 and 3 cities as part of their current expansion plan.

“Tier 2 and 3 cities across the country have a lot of market potential. Infrastructural development plays a major role to boost retail business in these locations,” Gautam said, adding that there is increased brand awareness in non-metro cities and, as the brand is keen to tap into that, they will be promoting online sales both through their own e-commerce store and on other platforms so that they will be able to reach more rural areas without opening more stores.

Jack & Jones entered India for the first time in 2008. The brand currently has 66 exclusive business outlets (EBOs) and 271 shop in shops (SISs) in 70 different cities across India. Being present on an array of multi-brand e-commerce sites also extends their reach across the country. “Jack & Jones is present on all major e-commerce websites in India. The brand also has a dedicated own website… to aid e-commerce activity. The online business has been extremely encouraging with significant growth in sales every quarter,” said Gautam. It is therefore on that success that the brand wishes to build.

Jack & Jones was founded in Denmark in 1989 by the brand Bestseller. The brand is currently present in 38 countries and has over 1,000 flagship stores. The brand has five main lines which comprise Jack & Jones Vintage Clothing, Core by Jack & Jones, Jack & Jones Tech, Originals by Jack & Jones, and Premium by Jack & Jones.
