Jabong eyes 5 million customers, 80% sales growth during Big Brand Sale
Indian online fashion retailer Jabong is expecting a rise in its customer base along with 80 percent growth in sales revenue during its upcoming Big Brand Sale.
The four-day sale event will take place from January 25 to 28 with Jabong expecting over 5 million customers to shop on its platform during the period. The online fashion giant aims to generate 7-times more revenue than its average daily sales during the sale.
The Big Brand will be the first sale event for Jabong in 2018. The Flipkart’s fashion subsidiary had earlier claimed to have recorded significant growth in the year 2017 on the back of multiple mega sale events and will look to replicate similar success this year.
Speaking about the Big Brand Sale, Gunjan Soni, Head of Jabong said in a statement, “In line with Jabong’s affluent target audience, this sale focuses more on premium global and Indian brands with exclusive lines and discounts. We expect 80% growth and 20 million sessions during the sale. The Big Brand Sale offers our customers a unique opportunity to acquire premium global brands at less than half the price. The Big Brand Sale is also expected to expand Jabong’s customer base significantly.”
Soni, further added, “This time around, we expect to double sales over the previous edition of the sale. We are expecting over 5 million users to participate in the sale.”
The Big Brand Sale will feature exclusive lines from international brands like Mango, Forever 21, Next, Adidas, Lee Cooper, Blackberry's, Carlton London, Levi's, Dorothy Perkins, Puma, Jack & Jones, Hamley’s, United Colors of Benetton, Guess, Vero Moda, Forest Essential, as well as designer brands such as Rajesh Pratap Singh, Ritu Kumar, among others.
In addition, the sale would include local brands such as Lakme, Biba, Raymond Home, Lavie and Sangria.
