China's multi-segment sport trade fair ISPO Shanghai will take place July 6-8 for a second time in the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).

ISPO Shanghai returns July 6-8

Following on from last year's success, some 400 exhibitors from over 20 countries will present the latest products in the sports industry. That's an increase of 11 percent compared to last year.

Across an area of 33,000 square meters, the show has been split into products and service categories pertaining to Action Sports, Sportstyle, Fitness, Running, Functional Textiles, Outdoor, Paddling & Watersports, and—new this year—Adventure Travel.

Joining the event for the first time are exhibitors from Gola, Gronell, LifeStraw, Millet, Prosperous, Rehband, Swarovski, Tecnica, Yuneec, and Zeiss while international brands such as 2XU, Camelbak, Fjällräven, LP Support, Point 65, Sea to Summit, Skins, and Ulvang will return again this year.

There will be a new Czech Republic pavilion, as well as a higher number of participants from Korea and Taiwan.

The key focal points of this year’s trade show include Running and Adventure Travel, according to ISPO Shanghai.

This includes running clothes and shoes, as well as fitness equipment such as wearables, or small devices with sensors, like activity tracker wristbands.

"Running is one of the fastest growing sport segments in China," said ISPO Shanghai in a statement.

Attendees will be privy to a separate “Running Village”, complete with training courses and conferences.

There's even a Night Run event planned for Thursday, providing a chance to network with some 500 participants running together along a seven kilometre route through the Shanghai Century Park.

ISPO Shanghai 2016 kicks off Wednesday, July 6.
