Interparfums confirms its target for the fiscal year
Oct 22, 2015
The Interparfums group, specialised in the manufacturing and distribution of fragrances under licence, published revenue figures for €99.2 million in the third quarter - a 27% rise at current exchange rates - and confirmed its sales target for the fiscal year.
Consolidated revenues grew 16.8% at constant exchange rates, the result of "sustained expansion for the main Montblanc and Jimmy Choo fragrance lines, and the very successful placement of the Jimmy Choo Illicit and Paul Smith Essential lines", the group has explained in a press release.
Despite this, "bearing in mind the fragrance and cosmetics market decline witnessed in countries such as China, Russia and Brazil, for the whole of the fiscal year we remain prudent, with a confirmed revenue target between €310-320 million," Philippe Benacin, who was cited in the press release, stated.
Over nine months, Interparfums' revenues were €246.3 million (+10.9% at current exchange rates and +1.3% at constant exchange rates).
North America, which represents 23% of sales, became the most significant geographical area in the period. In the third quarter alone, revenues there grew by 40%.
In the Middle East, where revenues grew 16%, as in Eastern Europe (+15%) and Western Europe (+12%), sales benefited both from the launch of new lines for Jimmy Choo, Boucheron and Paul Smith, and from consistent performances from major brands Montblanc, Jimmy Choo and Lanvin, the group stated.
