IMG Reliance launches fashion portal ‘The Voice of Fashion’
IMG Reliance, the organisers of the Lakme Fashion Week, has launched its fashion portal called ‘The Voice of Fashion’, ahead of its forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2018 edition.
The portal is aimed at creating awareness and promoting the fashion industry in the country and targeted at the changing Indian consumers.
IMG Reliance has collaborated with some of the big names in the fashion industry like the International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) Good Earth, House of Anita Dongre, and Fashion Revolution for the portal.
Jaspreet Chandok Vice President and Head of Fashion IMG Reliance said, "It is my pleasure to announce the launch of a democratic industry voice in fashion along with several like-minded partners."
Commenting on her association, Designer Anita Dongre added, "Sustainability is the need of the hour and I am passionate about bringing that change. Through a strong platform like The Voice of Fashion, I'm sure we will be able to spread more awareness and mobilise the industry to work towards a better tomorrow."
Reliance is betting big on fashion in India and has been investing heavily in diversifying across all verticals to gain a dominant position in the country’s luxury and fashion market.
The brand’s division of the company, Reliance Brands to strengthen its foothold in the luxury market recently purchased an additional 12.56 percent stake in Genesis Colors Limited for around Rs 52.77 crore ($7.9 million), which has taken its total stake in the business to 46.39 percent.
