Ileana D'Cruz to walk for designer Nancy Luharuwalla at Lakme Fashion Week

Bollywood actress Ileana Dcruz is all set to scorch the runway for designer Nancy Luharuwalla as the showstopper at the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017 (LFW) to be held in Mumbai.

 

The designer will showcase her new ready-to-wear collection Allure by De Belle on the last day, August 20, which will be followed by Manish Malhotra’s closing show.
 
"Ileana represents modern women of today as she is confident, smart and carries herself beautifully. Her persona captures the ethos of the collection perfectly," Luharuwalla said in a statement.

According to the designer, her new range boasts neat cuts and is inspired by the looks of the1950s.

"We have added contemporary and futuristic elements in the collection to evolve an aesthetic sensibility that appeals to all cross sections,” Luharuwalla added.
 
The shapes are unusual, with jackets with intricate yet bold motifs dominating the look. The line includes trench coats and short jackets with puffed and padded shoulders, highlighted with oxidized embroidery showcasing the rise of feminism.
