House of Holland teams up with Umbro

Henry Holland, the British fashion designer, has teamed up with cult Manchester-based sportswear and football equipment brand Umbro for its spring/summer 17 Pro Training collection.

The dual-gender collection contains 24 pieces and reworks Umbro's classic football-inspired styles, juxtaposing them with Holland's street-savvy designs.
“We’ve been looking into doing a sportswear / lifestyle collection with a partner and we feel like Umbro has a real undercurrent with a feeling that it’s rising up in the street wear arena,” said Henry Holland, creative director at House of Holland. “I loved the fact that Umbro is a Manchester brand, that it’s so connected to football culture, and not just another lifestyle brand with a sportswear element.” Holland is from Manchester himself, making the collaboration a perfect fit.
The collection includes oversized vest tops, joggers, sweatshirts and crew neck jerseys, all of which have been given a Holland makeover with oversized logos, polka spots, snake prints and a palette of powder blue, dusty pinks, reds and greens.
There's also some entirely new pieces for Umbro, including a repeat logo drill cotton bomber jacket. The collection was first introduced at Pitti Uomo and is currently on show at tradeshow Jacket Required. It launches for SS17.
