Holt Renfrew Vancouver will be fully updated throughout, and expanded by 30%, reflecting an elevated flagship store model and innovative new retail concepts. The store will grow to approximately 190,000 square feet.

Building work at the luxury retailer will begin in August 2015 and will be completed by the end of 2016. The store will remain open throughout the renovation. Being designed by New York-based architectural firm, Janson Goldstein, at completion the store will feature an expanded 200-foot storefront along Howe Street, an updated façade along Dunsmuir Street, and a second signature atrium to showcase visual installations.

The women’s leather goods and footwear areas will triple in size, and the jewelry area will double in size and debut first-to-Canada luxury brands. Two additions will include a personal shopping area that will double in size to 7,000 square feet including a luxury Apartment private shopping concept, and a new 80-seat Holts Café inspired by the café experience found in other markets.

In addition to the Vancouver flagship store’s expansion, Holt Renfrew announced a new Holt Renfrew Square One in Mississauga that will open in Spring 2016, the expansion of its Montreal location that will complete in 2017, and the expansion of its Calgary, Edmonton, and Bloor Street stores.
