Hanesbrands boosts its Q3 sales by 10.8%
The apparel manufacturer has increased its sales by 83 million Euros (115 million dollars) in the third quarter compared to last year, reaching 842 million Euros compared to 763 previously. A result partly due to the acquisition of Gears for Sport, which is beginning to show its worth.
Abroad, sales particularly showed promise; a 13% increase. Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and India even recorded double digit growth. Sales of innerwear (Playtex, Wonderbra ...) increased by 10%, notably with men's underwear that rose with double digits too. But it is outerwear particularly that has strengthened its sales, with an increase of 19%, primarily thanks to brands Champion, Hanes and Just My Size.
With its strong results, the group is counting on announcing some 3.09 billion Euros in sales for its annual review; an increase of ten percent compared to the 2.8 billion last year.
